Allison’s favorite way to connect with others has always been through food. At a young age, she began to practice mindfulness and empathy, which her relationship with food and cooking was a large part of. She is dedicated to supporting patients by active listening, motivational interviewing, and meeting the patient where they are at in their journey towards recovery.
Allison holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Nutrition from Keene State College in New Hampshire. After graduating she spent a year serving with FoodCorps AmeriCorps connecting elementary-aged students with healthy food and promoting healthy eating behaviors by teaching nutrition and gardening education in Hartford, Connecticut.
Allison completed her dietetic internship through California State University San Bernardino. From her experience interning at an eating disorder treatment facility, Allison recognized this was an area she felt motivated to continue working with as it practices patience, mindfulness, and sustainable behaviors.
Allison is passionate about her job because she loves to help facilitate and support growth within patients. She understands the path to recovery isn’t always linear, completely individualized, and that mending the relationship with food can feel truly empowering.
In her free time, she loves reading, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with others outdoors.
