Jennifer Gold, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Bright Road Recovery, brings curiosity and compassion to her work with individuals and families. She believes that behavior (however maladaptive) makes sense when properly understood, and that all clients have the power to change and recover.
Jen holds a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and is working toward licensure. She also holds a doctoral degree in American history and worked as a writer and researcher for Los Angeles non-profits before returning to school to become a therapist.
Jen takes a strengths-based approach to therapy that includes motivational interviewing and dialectical behavioral techniques. Seeing people realize their own capacity to change and heal is the most rewarding thing about this work.
Jen loves reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her husband and three children.
