Josary Perez, BA, is a Mental Health Counselor at Bright Road Recovery. The compassion, patience, and dedication she puts forth in her work has been nurtured through her years of service in education and special needs. Josary has worked with young adults in the past to increase mental health awareness and put mindfulness into daily practice. Her passion lies in patient recovery and mental health advocacy.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Social Behavior and Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine. She has studied trauma and resilience in the past. This led her to volunteer at her local sexual assault crisis center. She is interested in learning more about the interaction between trauma and eating disorders, and thus hopes to build her knowledge on treatment practices for these issues.
Supporting and empowering individuals in their recovery process is the most fulfilling facet of her work. She aims to create an open and caring environment for those around her as they progress on their own path towards self-acceptance and intuitive eating.
Josary enjoys discovering new music, visiting local museums, and hiking. Her free time is spent with her friends and family, as well as her dog Sophie.
