Joseph Bartolone, BS, RD, developed his passion for nutrition and healthy eating behaviors began when he lost his father at a young age due to a nutrition related disorder. He is also very passionate about healthy eating behaviors because he has struggled with multiple food allergies through his adolescent and adult life. He loves sharing his experience, knowledge, struggles, and triumphs that he has experienced on his journey to developing healthy eating behaviors.
Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. He was the team leader of the Team Nutrition Education program at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he counseled athletes about nutrition. He also worked at Los Alamitos Medical Center, where he served patients meals, and discussed their dietary restrictions with them.
He also completed his internship rotations through the California Polytechnic University, Pomona internship program. He loved working with outpatient clients during his internship. He believes that these settings allow professionals and clients more time to discuss nutrition and healthy eating behaviors, and ultimately gives the clients the power to live a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.
Joseph previously worked as a micro-surface engineer and competed in mixed martial arts prior to pursuing his passion for nutrition. Ultimately, he quit his job as an engineer and mixed martial artist to pursue a career that allowed him to share his passion for nutrition with others.
Joseph is passionate about his job because he believes that reconnecting people with healthy eating behaviors can ultimately lead to an overall healthy life. In his free time he enjoys cooking, baking, and trying new recipes. He also enjoys spending time at the beach and visiting with family on his days off.
