Kiana Matthews, MSW, is a Clinical Therapist at Bright Road Recovery. She has worked with individuals who suffer from a mental illness at different levels of care including inpatient and outpatient.
She holds a Master’s in Social Work from Park University and is currently working towards licensure. She has worked with children of all ages with Autism and has offered individual and group therapy in a psychiatric facility. Kiana also coaches Freshman Girls Basketball at a local high school. She loves working with any population and seeing the growth of every individual.
Kiana is determined, caring, and loves what she does. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is to help individuals understand that even though life can be overwhelming, it is normal to endure difficult emotions; learning how to effectively cope and regulate those emotions is part of the healing process.
Kiana enjoys spending time with her dog Zira. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, beach trips, reading, journaling, watching and playing basketball, and most importantly, Thursdays are for Grey's Anatomy.
